How Do I Apply a Decal?

  1. Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Do not use a glass cleaner because it will leave a residue that will prevent the sticker from adhering well.
  2. Rub a squeegee or credit card firmly across the decal through the translucent transfer tape to prepare it for the application. This ensures the decal will cling to the transfer tape and removes any air bubbles that may have formed.
  3. Peal the white paper backing off the decal. If the decal sticker clings to the backing slowly replace the paper backing and repeat step 2.
  4. Slowly lower the decal onto the surface, start in the center for smaller decals and work your way out to avoid creating any air bubbles, rub in place with a squeegee or credit card. For larger decals it may be easier to start on one side and work your way across, squeegeeing as you roll it down.
  5. Slowly peel the transfer tape off at an angle. Sharper angles are better and allow for a better view and helps to insure you are not lifting the decal with the transfer paper. Be careful not to pull the decal off the surface. If your decal pulls away from the surface repeat step 4.

How Do I Apply a Large Decal(The Wet Method)?

  4. Wet the surface of the back of the decal and the area where the decal is being applied using a spray bottle with soapy water.
  5. Apply the decal slowly using a squeegee or similar object starting from one side and working your way around. The decal can be slid around when wet to align properly.
  6. Once the decal is in position use a squeegee or similar object along with a heat gun on low or blow dryer to remove the remainder of the soapy water.
  7. Allow to dry for 1-2 hours before attempting to remove the transfer paper backing, attempting to remove the backing when wet will pull and shift the decal around.
  8. Slowly peel the transfer tape off at an angle. Sharper angles are better and allow for a better view and helps to insure you are not lifting the decal with the transfer paper. Be careful not to pull the decal off the surface. If your decal pulls away from the surface repeat step six.
